When Plumbing Should Be Installed

Plumbing should be installed when you build a new house. This is one of the first things that needs to be established for a home’s foundation – sewer accommodation stubs need to be in place before you even think about laying the building’s foundation. 


After this, work continues to install plumbing throughout the house. A lot of this is easy to forget as we take much of it for granted. But toilets, sinks, showers, baths, sewer lines, drainage, refrigerators, and air conditioning systems all rely on correct plumbing installations.

The Plumbing Installation Process

We begin with a rough-in stage to plan where drainage systems and pipes will need to be fitted before the walls go up. Then we will begin installing large fixtures and appliances including showers and bathtubs, indoor hot tubs and whirlpools, saunas, and steam rooms. 


Once these are in place, we will look at connecting you to the mains supply line. This enters the ground below frost level and splits into a cold-water pipe and one which runs through the water heater to provide the house with hot water. 


Lastly, we will fit drainage pipes, vent pipes, traps, and small fixtures before we test the whole system for you.
